Beginners Course

The course systematically introduces you to the essential elements of a yoga practice. This provides a stable foundation from which you can safely progress to higher levels of ability and understanding.

Beginners

Classes are offered on a casual basis to beginners. It continues to introduce students to the basic elements of the practice explored in the beginner courses.

Beginners Transition

Classes are offered on a casual basis to beginners who would like to make the transition from 'Beginner' to 'General' classes. Although offered on a casual basis, the classes are based on a rotating sequence of ten theme based classes. Beginners can start anywhere in the sequence and progress through the sequence of ten sessions in preparation for attending the General Classes.

General

Classes are offered on a casual basis to beginners and those with some experience.

Intermediate

This is a more challenging class to increase the level of awareness and commitment to yoga practice. Basic skills and confidence are assumed and more advanced levels of skill are required in order to perform asanas with greater depth - e.g. inversions and backbends.

Restorative

This class is for both new and experienced students. All poses are modified with the use of props to reduce strain, release stress and increase energy. Those preferring a gentler class: who are fatigued, recovering from illness or injury, menstruating, pregnant or mature aged, will find this class of great assistance.

Gentle

A gentle introduction to Iyengar yoga. This casual class has a less dynamic approach that aids in restoring energy levels and is suitable for students of all levels and ages.

Vinyasa

A flowing practice with the precision, technique and understanding of Iyengar Yoga. For students with some experience.
